I thought this was really good, awesome guitar riffs and drums and song writing. The problem I have is the vocals. The melodies are good, but the delivery could have been better. Just try and put a little more balls into it, its thrash metal man, don't be afraid to get angry! Other than that though this track was killer

CoolieCool responds:

Thanks for the review man ye the vocals on the most of my tracks im not 100% happy with the vocals i had to finish this song quickly based on time constraints so i couldnt make it perfect but i will probably record a lot of my songs again once i get a proper amp :)

Good song, the only problem i have with this is the mixing. The vocals are too loud compared to everything else, and the drums sound like they're muffled, almost like you're listening to them from the other room. Try and give the drums more of a live feel to them, and emphasize the snare a little more.

Hi, thanks for the review. This song is fairly old for me now; but I agree with all your points. Especially with what you say about the drum sound, I use some different samples now-a-days. A lot of people have pointed out this poor drum sound and "muffled" is the general consensus. That is what has contributed to me finding something better; so thanks people!

HOLY RIFFS BATMAN!!! As a rhythm guitarist in a thrash metal/prog band, i can definitely respect the guitar riffs here! You sir, have thoroughly impressed me. Are you in a band, or did you program all the drums and stuff? Because those blasts on the drums would be very impressive if it was a real drummer

Dnman responds:

hahah wow thank you!! Well I am a drummer in a band and I'm sure I could play the drums to this song if I took time to learn it lol. But the drums are programed using drum kit from hell, on that note every things is pretty much programed. I suck at guitar so I wrote this all out using guitar pro then I just kinda... made it happen, using Ableton Live 8. Its a whole world of cut and paste lol. Most of the rhythm is played in small chunks and all the leads are cut note for note. I did my best to hide the flaws.
Thank you again

Has a very oldschool Metallica feel to it, (as in songs like Leper Messiah, The Thing That Should Not Be, etc) I'd just recommend turning the guitar and bass up to help give it a little balls lol. As for the guitar playing, I like the chord progression, very dark sounding. Just work a little bit on the palm muting and stuff like that to get it a little cleaner and more precise. The vocals could definitely use some work, are you fairly new to screaming/growling/whatever technique you're doing?

This definitely has a lot of potential, and if you work on improving the vocals and the tone on the guitar, you should re-upload because I would love to hear it :)

SomebodySomewhere responds:

Thank you for your words. I'm still working on my technique, hope it would get better. You're right with growling, I've been practising for a month now ;)
